Well it has taken some doing but after seeing this thread when it started I have been working on these since with an electronics company and had them made to our spec.

It's 550 lumens and not just a cheap strip of LED ribbon poked inside of a tube, apart from the unique defuser the bulb has been de bugged to adapt to DC10-30V voltage, so when the vehicle voltage fluctuates, the lights will not have any flicker.
