lloyed in the sharan mod its only a lil removed from the calliper carrier not the caliper itself and the disc turned down a wiff well 12mm to be exact....i doubt if you would notice much difference with the diamond set up as its not really diffierent from the standard set up ...barr the grooved/drilled disk

those calipers look like they were meant for bigger dia discs ?
Sharan stuff seems to be 2 flavours 15" or 16"

Just a note, in light of a major accident, what would insurers say if they became aware?

I don't like modifying brake parts, it all adds to the aggro if nothing else. This "pulling" of mounting holes in the carrier is nasty, just as bad as welding the suspension uprights. Better to have 2 pairs of holes pitched in the adaptor to suit the upright and pad carrier IMHO.
Likewise, identify the correct disc so you don't have to go turning them down. Kind of pointless when the whole point of the exercise is to fit a bigger dia rotor!
