We should have a ‘good advice’ page. I’ve recently only being putting £20 of petrol in at a time, to keep costs down

Clutch pedal has no resistance & brake fluid reservoir was very low. Filled reservoir, no difference - so new clutch master cylinder required. Yoga skills required as it’s under the pedals but only a couple of bolts and a hydraulic line. Let’s see. It does look very rusty and I deliberately ignored it during the build - other more pressing matters. Oh well, a couple of hours and a handy helper required to bleed the system & we should be good to go. Flat bed is full of second hand parts for my stall at Stonor Park, Henley on 26/06/22, so better get a move on…

Whilst waiting a couple of days for the new Master cylinder to arrive, it fixed itself?! Pedal has a nice smooth operation, best it’s ever been. So, topped reservoir up again and we’ll see. Maybe it did just need topping up and bleeding. I’ll carry the part around with me, just in case I get caught out. Fairly easy job - I’d cut the braided hose to the back near the feed, as I can’t see that coming off very easily as it has a saw tooth on it. Undo the banjo bolt on the front and the x2 bolts holding it to the bracket - done, by the looks. Anyway, if it goes again I’ll swap it out, but for now, if it ain’t broken…

Few MOT jobs for the old thing …
Don’t mind a nice job list to do, almost smiling as he gave me this ‘to do’ list!
A bulb
A rigid brake line
Tweak the handbrake
Turn air/fuel mixture screw down a tad on carb., reset ignition timing, set idle
Underbody panels (D-pillars), essentially what they call battery boxes in the prototypes. They’ve always been bad, but I’ll do them for next years MOT. Could patch them or be really enthusiastic and do the external corners too. Bodywork - Boo, I like rust.
No dramas, fun stuff really.

Working it like a dog. House clearing, made 3 tip runs yesterday then hauled what was left back to Reading from the New Forest. Locker boxes were excellent.
Clutch Master weaping, so really must jump on this now.
