It`s all good but dont forget you only need what you need. The tdi doesn`t need the seperator. What it does need is an answer to the vnt clocking.
And above all it doesn`t need the EGR, they are the biggest cause of problems on modern engines. You`ll be wanting to add DPF`s next. may aswell buy a t5.

.
I thought just a couple people were getting problems with that? Presume you mean that slight smoking from cold?

I thought it was adjusting the turbo inlet position.
Not something I'd feel comfortable fiddling with. The penalty for failure might be quite high:-)

Provent - I have one somewhere, never fitted it, will do one day.
They cost about £100 and a bit of a swine to find in the uk.
EGR is fitted from the factory so they can sell a vehicle that conforms to emissions standards.
It's not good, as lee put it, you don't see Linford Christine running the 100m with a hose pipe from his ring piece to his mouth.
You have to be careful of TDI with respect to simply blocking the egr with a plate that the ecu monitors and expects to see a change in air intake (as measured by the maf) mass. Simply blocking may put it into limp or put the light on.
Best to remap and remove that bit of coding.
You can, in vag com, reduce the amount the egr opens to a point which is a step in the right direction.

I'm sure someone on here a BY said there is a code you change when you plug it into your computer so the ecu ignores it. Think it was ewen?

Here it is
Hello,
sorry - not a syncro owner, but just a note on the tdi egr system from my experience.
It's a good point about error codes - If you delete the EGR physically with a blanking plate, which I have on my tdi, you can eliminate error codes by adapting the EGR cycle in vag-com - login (12233), adaptation and enter 33768 in the new value box and then save. The error codes are thrown if the actual MAP reading is higher than it requested due to the physical EGR delete - with 33768 the requested and actual will be so close that it won't throw an error code. Of course you need to keep the EGR valve (N18) itself connected with the pipes blanked off (or I suppose at least a resistor of the same value) but this is a useful thing to have on an AFN as it serves as a backup N75 valve (although not identical).
It's also possible to completely erradicate the EGR using a remap.
Ewen

Cool
So you don't even have to blank off the EGR if you don't want to
