I am ringing him later in the week for the final price as he is going to ring suppliers for the panels, have agreed with OH to save like mad and get it done before the summer, hopefully april time. He seemed a really nice fella, he mentioned removing cupboards too, so job is done right. I do hope it is not too good to be true!!

He also recommended an upholsterer for the rock and roll bed that needs recovering.

I need to win the lottery so I can make my van amazing!!!

I reckon theres a lot of potential for botch-ups and cover-ups on these vans, but I suppose that goes for any vehicle...
I would worry most about how thorough they were at removing all traces of rust before putting on new arches etc.
I would at least mention it to them that you would like all rust removed/replaced, even in places that can't be seen when all the new stuff is welded in. And that you would like the back of the repairs to be painted as well as the front!
Hope it works out for you and you win the lottery.... I could do with that as well!

It does seem on the cheap side.
But do as boatbuilder says and make sure they are going to tackle the job correctly.
Ask for photos of all work done, before and after.
:ok

i have a hightop cover but seen as this winter has been good havnt bothered with it. just keep it waxed up with Collinite 476 – extremely hard wearing wax, mine lasted 4 months over the winter!
