Ours is similar to VW but not a direct copy. And vw haven't made them for many many years.

The VW one is plenty strong to cope with stud extensions, a bigger wheel and a fuel can so Im sure that the Syncronutz one will cope equally as well

have you not learnt your lesson Rob ..... ?? Buy German stuff in Germany! I bought four of these and the one in the photo is unused and came in an original MB box and I paid €90 plus shipping!

Right now its just sitting there as I used to Bungy strap it in but Ill be doing a good bit of work on the van soon so I modify the back of the wheel bracket so it can be held on in a proper and secure manner.
