For the pipework between rad and chargecooler i'm going to get 3/4" hose. I've been looking at car heater hose like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19mm-3-4-CAR- ... 3953wt_764" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
is there anything wrong with using this? i just think it will look more factory than other stuff i have seen used, which looks more like garden hose.
i'm also going to fit this as a filler http://www.chargecooler.co.uk/index.php ... cts_id=185" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which has a pressure release built in
Now this maybe a silly question, but is there a need to allow for expansion in system? i know the water does not get too hot, so maybe there is enough expansion in the pipes from front to back?

I'd have thought that a small expansion/header tank would be a good idea, otherwise the hoses might blow off at a critical high-stress moment? When things like an Impreza chargecooler are used they have a built-in tank and pressure cap, so no worries there.
Water hose is water hose. Reinforced heater stuff would be the stuff to use, not that plastic thin garden hose. It's PVC and will go brittle in time.

Yep, looks like I'll be getting the heater hose, only £31 for 10m so pretty cheap really.
Expansion tank wise, the filler I will be getting has a pressure relief valve built in, it's in the link in my last post, so not worried about hoses popping
Aftermarket chargecooler places don't seem to sell or mention header tanks. Some factory systems have a header some don't. Apparently the water only gets to a max of 55-60 degrees, so not to much expansion there. It's just one of those things were you expect there to be a right/wrong answer. Think I might go along the line of, if the shop don't sell it, it's not needed
