Some great pics and some great scenery. Not sure about that rope bridge though!

great pictures and you have done a great job on your van is there many t25 in pakistan. i love the shot of the van going over the rope bribge i think the wife would have walked that one. keep sending the pics it brings a new dimension to wild camping.

Hahaha! Whats up with you guys and the rope bridge? They were not actually ropes; they are steel cables with shackles so it wasn't that bad! I did actually "pooh" my pants while going over it and kinda floor it towards the end before it collapsed.

Such bridges are pretty common in northern Pakistan and you do hear about bridges collapsing once in a while but for the most part they hold alright.
People who come here from Europe mostly have T3 campers, fully laden westfalias or other camper conversions! And all of them never leave Pakistan without going to the North and they all go over those bridges. So comparing my van to theirs, its feather light! And yeah due to all most non existent roads and being over weight most of them break a coil spring or two!

It's not the rope/wire that I have an issue with but the rotten wood planks

Looking at the photo you were so scared you had to put on your handbrake, get out of the van, walk off the bridge, take a photo, then get back in your van and throttle it before the bridge collapsed

What damage did that boulder do by the way?

And how long did it take you to clean up the oil from the lovely countryside?

The planks were okay too if not new. They generally have a metal reinforcement under them and they are only in place to cover the gaps; they are not load bearing.

I just drove through a friend took the pics from the other end, waiting on the bridge was probably not a good idea.
Well the lowest point on this motor is the oil filter assembly. I placed the rear left wheel on top on that rock but when I got down from the rock, it hit the motor in the over hang because I went fast. So the assembly broke from the flange which bolts onto the block.

The oil looks alot but it was only half a liter because when I checked the level half liter was missing. So we cleaned it from the grass with cloth and covered it with mud from the water stream, took like 15 minutes.

That looks like a great trip buddy. Your van was lucky it met you and got such a good job done.

It sure was lucky, if I hadn't picked it up the metal would have been recycled by now!

Nopes its not. Rear wheels are driven.

The wheels are from W220 Mercedes which is the S class before this current one, they look steel but they are alloy and are super light. The rubber is 215/70/R16 and until now they have never rubbed. I'm using 16mm spacers all round with longer bolts and studs kit from T3 Technique-USA.
