Again, thread resurrection, sorry
Just to let you know I have now tinted my hi top (extra) side windows!
I used nail varnish remover to remove the old glue left behind, worked a treat on the plastic (after a test) left no residue and the film tint didn't react or anything so well pleased.

I think you'll find its illegal to tint the front screen. You can apply a sunvisior strip though. Side front windows must allow a percentage of light in.
don't know the full figures but the traffic cops carry light meters.

If I remember correctly (from when I was pulled over in my 2nd car by the cops for this reason) the figure is 70% of light has to pass through. Front windows normally come from the manufacturer with a 30% tint, i.e at the legal limit.

I considered the mesh option, then figured it'd end up becoming a pain having to remove the mesh every time I wanted to put up thermo screens. I'm getting some work done to rust around the rear four windows and tailgate now though, so while they're out I'm getting them tinted with 15% smoke - I'm just not keen on the silver look.
