Not fussy then

Do you know how many were built to that spec with just front aircon? (you wait, 5 will come up on ebay now in one week!)
could always buy a Carat , convert it to syncro , cut a hole in the roof and add a poptop then take an angle grinder to rear section of AC ducting

I suppose if your going that far you may as well go the whole hog and get a rhd 16" westie with air con not sure if you can get them in alpine though

Hahah yep sounds good. That way it will always be something to look forward to 'cause I'll never have one
Check out the camper at the
bottom of this link. It's not a Syncro - I found it whilst searching.

There is an older version of that OKA bus in the Lisheen Mine in Ireland. Very tough indeed.
Was just looking at the spec of that Westy Syncro ...... they say that some things that would be nice to add to it would be Front locker (third knob on Syncro panel) and Torque-biasing differentials front and rear. THIRD knob???????? Can you have torque-biasing differentials AND locking diffs? Now that would be cool.

Piece of crap

Turning circle 14.5m max gradient 55%

a Syncro can do 70% if your going for that size of vehicle and money better off with a unimog no silly over hangs and a 404 has a turning circle of 11.9m. Plus parts would be a lot easier to find
Sorry but I'm confused this all seems a bit OTT for going to the beach in unless it's Fraiser Island or one in Africa

Hahah yep deffo OTT but I either want my perfect Syncro or "something different". I live on the side of a mountain so it can be quite a trek to and from the beach

I get snowed in too. Thanks for the info on the OKA. Any more thoughts on the Iveco camper? With only 20K miles it seems like a steal.

Those have been available from Peloquin for a few years now. AA Transaxle has built several triple knob set ups with those diffs.
