Thats what friends are for.
And considering what he could say on you tube, I've been let off lightly.
Rob.

I've just found out the Trakka is back in the news. Having spoken at length to the second owner, who knew the first owner (very rich) and saw it land in the UK in it's first year on the road, and having gone through the paperwork thoroughly, I can vouch for it's provenance. I only sold it on because once I'd found out how rare it was I daren't do to it what I wanted to do to it. However, the Westy I replaced it with started like this:

Rusty as under the side planks. But then went through this:

and ended up like this:
Now, if I'd done that to such a genuine rarety I think you'd be fully justified in parking it on my nuts

Smart, What did you do with the original front to poptop?

Nice but I bet it hasn't got Trakka plywood cabinets with the sought after "MDF" effect and B&Q enhancements

The receding hair line was swopped with a guy on one of the forums who wanted one. I went for the luggage rack as my kids like sitting out there and it gives me somewhere to stick the awning.

'fraid not Dom, it's got the dull old Westy one until next winter when I should have the time (and cash) together to sort my own out. It will however have some of the B&Q design ideas that the Trakka has.
Nice job Fran
Cheers Matey. Still got some finishing touches to go yet though, like finishing off the badgeless grill, plubming in the headlight washers, and fitting the bespoke side repeaters (under the big mirrors

). Oh, and a decent set of alloys when I get round to it.
