Did you check the battery then...how do you know it's flat?
below 12.6 volts is considered flat.

Or is it the starter sticking?

Did you give it 5 mins before you turned the key?

ive just been out there again and i think the problem is not the battery but the starter, i have put a 12v strip light to the battery terminals and its lights up brightly so i suspect its the starter solenoid sticking, i have just tried banging it with a hammer but its not working and im not sure if im hitting it in the right place,

usually you do hit the starter
the solenoid is on the starter

time to clean up the earths and contacts then..

or time to exchange for another one, but try all the fixes first.

right van is now turning over and taking charge off the mini now but still cant get it started, ive changed the inline fuel filter under the van and pumped madly on the throttle to get the fuel flowing through again, is this nessesary or will the fuel pump just pump it through once its started?
