well i might have missed one auction , but i won my LHD powersteering setup auction !!

just need to collect, and see if / how i can fit it .

have read that it is possible ... cant see why not , and a hammer / disc cutter should fix any problems

still no welding , but had time to fit my porsche twists , which started off as a bargin find , and turned into another money pit , using brickwerks adaptors , they are VERY costly , but the fit was perfect , no wheel wobble , not fetterling .. just stright on ..

still need to source some centre caps , but this is what it looks like on 17inch Porsche twists. :

collecter my powersteering stuff today...

powersteering pump came off a 2.1 petrol , anyone know if that fits onto a 1.6D ? or do i need new pump or bracket ?
not looked into detail yet . happy to make a bracket :)

or the other option is to go with a electric powersteering pump ....and mount it at the front

Looking good :ok, it's must be good to see progress when the welding time has been short or awkward.

I do like following peoples progress. Thanks for sharing. :ok

done a quick refurb on the LHD power steering rack , so thats ready to go in ,

just picked up a saxo electric power steering pump :

Image

if this works , it saves me mounting the pump to the engine , and running pipes the length of the bus.

will just need to get some flexi hoses made up to connect the pump to the rack , thinking of mounting it on right hand side, (same as washer bottle but on other side)

wow , got some time on rusty today , no rust repairs . but i have now fitted the LHD powersteering rack.
also mounted the saxo power steering pump. , i mounted this on the passenger side (opposite to the washer bottle )

All i need now is to wire the pump up , and then get some pipes made up to connect pump to rack

off to devon in a few weeks as well , want to get power steering working before i go.

Tis looking a lot better - big pat on the back.

With the -50 drop do you get any rubbing on the front with the twists on?
