Hi,
I would like a set if you have them made white on black.
Thanks Anthony.

This is a very interesting thread. My bulbs on my dash arent working at the moment, the bulbs are ok-something to do with the wiring. I was looking at a LED backlight, something to set the original dash apart, these seem a great alternative. Living in aust, the KM/h suit me fine, but i'd love to see a lit up needle as well.
Hope this gains more popularity.

That looks great, count me in if it's going to be around the same price as advertised for the KPH versions.
Talking of red needles, i went down that route with mine as I plan to get some additional VDO gauges at some point.
I used this gauge paint from america, which glows under the lights -

I also used upgraded bulbs from autobulbs direct, that fit straight in -

If I understand German, they just lay glow foil under your original tach, so mph, kph, rev counter , clock or anything is of no matter.
Just my 5 cents.

Hi,
I'm a new member and while my '83 Devon needs far more important things, blinging my dash suddenly seems imperative!
I would be up for a MPH set as discussed, I'm looking for a rev counter as well if anyone has one going spare?
Just a hint on the paint, I've painted needles to match VDO gauges before and used Humbrol 'fire glow' enamel paint, looks great.

You don't understand German. The dial faces are complete face replacements layed
in front of your original gauges.

Thanks for the tip on that Jon, my thought too was to investigate Humbrol (good ol days of making model aeroplanes!)
I'm thinking of supplying it as a kit with: Instructions, Guage faces, UV LED's, and enough paint to do the needles. ? Im guessing thats what people would want?

In the effort to be as transparent as possible with this, i'll say now that the units will cost a bit more then the Kph ones from the german company, this is due to a few factors. Tooling costs to get the MPH ones made, delivery costs, UV LEDs, Paint for needles. But additionally, i will spend a fair bit of time creating a detailed English installation instruction manual and most of all, i am going to have to invest a fair bit of cash in getting them made.
Im hoping they are going to be in the ball park of the german ones, but they will be more money.
Im working away from home at the moment, so its all been on hold a little, but as soon as ive got this work out of the way and have got a bit of money to throw at it again i'll get it moving along again.
In fact i'm really looking forward to getting the LED set up going, i'm quite excited about how it might work! time will tell.....

not that it matters but would the mph speedo's also have the kph speeds in a smaller font as per the normal uk speedo or would it just be the same as a kph speedo with only one speed displayed?
i also had a thought with the difference between a syncro speedo and a 2wd speedo. i am guessing that the gubbins behind the face are the difference between them? am i correct in my thinking?
