Cheers for those, The caravelles look nice. just came across a very cheap good looking hightop diesel, only 550 miles away! Hopefully he will get back to me..................

Lloydy .... you have just made the first mistake in looking for a syncro. There is no such thing as a cheap good looking Syncro, end of story! I'd go as far to say that the cheaper they are to buy, the dearer they are to keep going! Sort of rule of thumb!!!!

Ah but could be cheap enough to redo the drivetrain, fit an AAZ and then fit a westy interior and still be under 7k total cost.

im possibly looking for a syncro camper as well. Have a 2.1 i 1990 hightop but would prefer syncro, got the bug at vanfest but do not know what type i want.
