Costco are as good as frnachised to Michelin, unless Mich's don't do the ones for your vehicle, when they are 'allowed' to get them elsewhere..

If they have a suitable Michelin, you probably won't get a better fitted price anywhere

Mich's are out to monopolise the market where they can, and obviosuly have a very keen arrangement with Costco who also do their own promotions from time to time (e.g. 4 tyres on a Nissan Micra £44 fitted Ok, then twist my arm!)

Pleased with my Firestones, been on for a couple of years. Wear and drive well. £44 fitted, valves + balancing included (each of course.) I would think you can still get them for that. 185 tho not 195

i would think that full strength 8 ply have been designed with the abuse given by white arrow drivers taken into account.

i used to work at white arrow, and i can assure you i was much less careful with their "pooh" ford than i am with my own beloved VW

in my experience, the less you pay, the more out of balance they'll be, the sooner they'll wear out, blob out, or something (maybe others will disagree / qualify this statement?)...given that the difference between the cheapest you've found at 45 each, and a quality make such as continentals is only going to be around 50-70 a set, then why not treat yourself to really nice ones, and bugger the cost? over the distance you'll get out of them, it's a tiny amount of money. plus, they really are an important part of the car
