No, that's incorrct. The Tristar came as standard with the steels. Those Atiwe 7Jx16"s were optional extras.
And it seems the 'Carat/Multivan' alloys were for the 'Jagdwagen' models.

Must be a printing error in my orignal Uk tristar brochure! I did think it weird that the steels would be an option...

virtually all the uk tristars came on steels from what I've seen, I guess it's down to intended use, if meant to offroad then the steels make more sense imho, I could have got the KL71 MTs and put them on my bullet hole alloys but I'd rather not have an alloy/rock interaction, the old merc rims suffered enough, so Mefros and MTs and alloys and road rubber for me.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but have to show off a bit
Suppose no one has some of those centre caps with the raised middle bit laying around?
The ones I got with the wheels was the plain caps which doesn't fit without spacers on the back.

Thanks, but this is the kind of caps I'm looking for:
Those 15" Carats is nice! Seems to be even rarer than the Keyholes?!

i bought a set from mr ghia at christmas for my tri-star (16" atiwe)

i mailed a guy in germany who was selling a set of tyres for a syncro on ebay and the pic was on the 16" atiwe alloys,i asked if they were for sale? he said no because they were so rare... but he had them on 3 of his syncros! they aren't for a T3 but were on mazda 626s in the mid eighties! exact same wheels,just a different stud pattern which he just had adapters made to suit! i am buying a set from him!

, cheers mcgill

Hi Mcgill,
Those adapters sounds interesting. The mazda-version seems to pop up on german ebay quite often compared to the 5/112 version and are cheaper too.. these sold not to long ago, almost mint!
http://cgi.ebay.de/Atiwe-Alu-Felgen-7J- ... 27bcb180be" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And the flat center caps would be no problem with adapters either..

sorry to crash this thread but this looks like the place to ask! I have some ATIWE TYP-Ds 15x7 5x112's - im looking for some raised 75mm centre caps so I can run them on a T25 - ideally some period correct Atiwe or D&W ones - but anything considered! Can anybody help?! Please! Here's an old pic of them prior to me starting to refurb...
I haven't seen any of these before - anybody else have any? would be cool to see some on a T25
thanks
