Could be ithe ICE (possibly) but both Chickenkoop and I have the same set up using 40amp relays and we've not had melted fuse holders or any issues with them.

You must know the wattage of your ICE. Use this mate:
http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_l ... ulator.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You only need two figures and you know you're on 12.5v

wooooo i am really confused now lol ! wat the hell is that thing LOL
my amps are 1000w 4 channel and another running 80w(RMS) 2 channel, stereo is 4 x 45w not sure about the lighting . . .
as a ball park figure i put 1200 in the power(W) and 12.5 in voltage, i get 96amps, does that sound about right ? im not sure LOL

Hi mate
You divide watts by volts to get amps,=9.6. You can run that for about 4-5 hours on a 100 amp battery if its fully charged to begin with cos you cant take a battery below half its max capacity.
The relay you have ordered looks fine to me. With associated wiring that should future proof your leisure charging system.
RW Yes the relays and the cables do look close together dont they? Good job there was no power to any of it as I pointed out it was half finished. Looked much better once the tufnol inserts were put in, and the panel between 12vdc and 240vac services was installed. Amongt other mods I was behind there yesterday bit didnt have the camera.

Excellent, glad it all went well and you should have a nice peaceful future at least as far as leisure electrics are concerned, well done.
