In an ideal world yeah but they're a bit pricey. This one for example £250 plus I'd still have to buy an exhaust and all the ducting and build a diesel tank somewhere as I'm on petrol.

Seems like a lot of money and effort just to take the chill off on the "occasional" winter night.

I take it you don't think it's a good idea then.

exhaust? bet not many on here has one of them on theirs.mines a petrol van as well.all it needs is two lengths of inlet outlet pipe.and a plastic fuel can to sit in your spare wheel.£250 is a pretty good price.and its not just winter nights.what about winter days...

Yeah I agree. I must admit I'm tempted. Ok a few questions before I take the plunge.

Can you use them while driving along? If so then it's cheaper than a new set of heat exchangers.

Where's the best place to put the actual unit?

Do I have to drill lots of holes in my Bus?

Where else can I put the diesel tank as my spare wheel well is gonna shortly be filled with an LPG tank.

Sorry if I'm driving you mad but I'm a total novice to all this.

Bit off topic but could you use a eber off a 55 reg ish sprinter? i don't know when they started fitting them but my old work van had one fitted under wheelarch, you could turn on ignition and fire it up to have a warm cab without engine running. Just an idea.....

mines fitted under the glovebox.and i cant see any reason why you cant use it on the move...go on buy it you know you want it

Not entirely no. But it's an option as I can only get a 55ltr under the back seat so putting one in the wheel well also would increase it to 100ltrs. It would also push up the price of the conversion and effect how low I could go should I decide to drop the front end so I'm still finking abart it

REALLY ! It must be a teensy wincey likkle tank ? I was under the impression that the tank had to be higher than that on a T25 ? Perhaps things have changed in the years since ours was done ? Most have either the terroidal 'wardrobe' tank or the under the bed variety.

Not thinking right tonight Ian? where else would you think he got that information from, spare wheel tank is available for type 25 conversion as per my website, I assume you have an informed opinion here, I like the knob on technical who advised an owner to rip out the LPG instead of having it fixed (not one of mine I must add), another inspired and informed opinion.
