Can anyone tell me if changing the colour of the van from original to something else will affect the value much? Mine is a caravelle converted to camper so already has lost a good deal of it's originality but is still the original colour.
Also, to change colour of only the exterior panels and not interior, big mistake?
thanks

No hard and fast rule, some people will not like it and others others won't mind. Once again, having outer panels one colour and the inside another can look odd for some peeps but what suits the outside doesn't always work well on the interior anyaway. It's really down to you, what you like and want from the van. The most important thing for most peeps is the general condition. I personally prefer to keep the the original colour but it wouldn't stop me buying a nice van in good condition that was not original or had different colour schemes for outer and interior.

I'm having my wagon resprayed at the minute, I would have like a different colour, however I like to keep things original to some extent, I know there's no rules but didn't have the money to have my van stripped down to bare shell, so the interior colour will have to remain the same, because of this I did not want the exterior one colour and the interior doors pillars etc another. I also having a bit of body work done this adds to the cost.
I personally not sure how changing the colour effects value, especially as these vehicles differ so much in price, I think its what people are prepared to pay for what you have. As long as what you do is done is to good quality or of a high standard, i guess you've improved the chances of making more money.
I find that people are very often sceptical of a new paint job, as no one really knows whats lurking underneath.
as I'm a joiner, Ill ensure there's some nice hardwood vaneered features inside!
