mmm, a change of plan is in order. I think the burners are staying on the bay now.
I am gonna start the Syncro project this week! I need some 15" wheels fast!

T4 centre bore is 57.1mm.
I'm fairly sure that they would go on with some spacers and they are more than up to the job.
Offset varies but I think ET46 is the common one.
Remember the syncro doesn't need the 66mm centrebore like the 2WD ones do

I might try my spare off the T4 & see what needs to be done...

You given that a go yet? My MOT is due end of June and I reckon the tyres are going to get a mention (not illegal, but getting there) so I'm going to have to stop prevaricating!!! Missed out on a couple of sets of Merc steelies and finding it difficult for my tiny mind to work out which alloys are going to work without too many problems......
....and thats before we even get onto the tyre question (want a road biased AT tyre; any recommendations?)

I havn't tried it yet but will do soon. I might still use the gas burners as I thought the bay was sold, I have been let down so will put my Fuchs on that when they are polished.
I might have to sell the Syncro as another tax bill is looming...

yea T4's fit nicely.
My sika runs T4's with BFG muds, 215/75/15.
Offset is a bit heigh at 46 but with no spacers the wheels and tyres fit with no problems, wouldnt go any wider.
Mcgill got a job lot of T4s and bored out the centres. believe these are prefered over mercs by some people because there alot stronger and dont bend as easily.

Are your centers bored out? Anyone know what the centers are on the t4 rim?

I;m always missing stuff on ebay, even when I set the alarm!

"Oh I've got another 3 minutes yet......I'll just check emails...." Ten seconds later (seems) 'Bidding has closed....'
Oh Bloody hell!

I have bought a set of T4 steels with et55. I have had the centres bored out & 195x15 tyres fitted.
I am just about to bolt them on. Fingers crossed.

I have them on. All is good. The 195 tyres are close to the front suspension arms, so you wouldn't want to go any wider.
A different offset might be better, the sliding door has loads of clearance too.
It drives ok, but the tyres are quite old. At 30mph it sounds like I am being hunted down by a Lancaster bomber!

I'd stick some 10mm spacers on them... 55 is a bit much... specially when ET31's are considered ideal and 37's ok.. but if thy work...

I was thinking that. The front would need longer studs & I am not going through all that work.
The rear studs are easier to change, so not such a hardship.

Just picked up an ebay bargain (at last!).
5 merc steel wheels ET31 for a tenner with decent tread on the tyres (might get my tenner back selling those on!)
All wonderful until I get how and unloading them from the car I notice that one is different to the rest..... bu99er
Ended up with four 2024000002 ET31 and one 2104000202 ET37......... the ET31's are 6" wide and the ET37 is 6.5" wide and the holes are slightly different round the edge so full marks to me for observation
