So then Clive, after looking at various statistics, assessing various engines, gearboxes, driving methods, how's Tyger?

We won't be seeing any posts started by clive that tyger is alive. It may be usefull as a shed for a few years until cj gets his hands on it.

An EJ22 as the next best option after an SVX?
Errr......
What's wrong with EJ25's Clive?

Context..
Think Pete would say the EJ22 is the second best, 2/3 of what he's got now!
Pete's had two, but not an EJ25
.. and its exactly 2/3 in cylinders and size, so kinda neater comparison?

Fair enough!
I thought you had decided on the EJ route a couple of years ago Clive, and had in fact bought an engine as well.
Is my memory going haywire?

Nope, engine tucked up nicely in bed, but a bit of an odd EJ22, around '93 with a weird loom... good memory!

I can enjoy petrol engines, my favorite being the 2.6 5 cylinder but i love TDI's far more.
