Bloomin heck Roger... still a fair old run up to Louth from Wisbech though....
What a cracking day... started off well when the syncro rescued the day by pulling the transit and burgervan up the hill on the way there, then again a little further on when conditions got a good bit worse.. when the burger man had difficulty pulling away on the flat, I thought it better for me to offer to tow it... easy job...
When we got out there.. I was a little concerned as I thought we'd get stuck in the ruts.. not having as big diameter tyres as the LR's etc.. Amazed at Mcjimny's little truck (Suzuki Jimny), what a star.. enthusiastic driving often saved getting stuck too often.. got to admire the effort before saying "need a tow, I think"...
We got stuck once.. silly of me to expect the syncro to drive side on with each wheel in a different rut all the way up that section... nearly did though.. and only needed a push out..
Paul (long standing club member) took us up a "large orange triangle" run (run back from the far end next to an earth bank), McJ got stuck in a nasty hole, Ade (Series 2 LR) had to go to the other end and reverse back to pull him out... I thought we might get stuck.. but we made it through.. when we got to the other end it was marked with a "black triangle.."

(Triangles = small orange= "easy'ish, Large orange= hard, need good tyres/lift kit, Black = highly modifieds, only)"
By the end of the day some of the "easier" stuff was getting well slippery and challenging.. but what a great laugh... looking forward to the next one, got some pics and vid, will have to find somewhere to put them...
