why not get a new one from GSF?
or VW?

you will be needing the holder too for the fuseable link

can't justify nearly £20 on a "pooh" heap of a van. Managed to get a decent holder for a 50amp fuse from the scrap yard though

right then.... had a look in 15 or so scrap yards and not had any joy getting a relay.

One that I did get was from a Ibiza - #142 glow plug relay

It has all the same connections as the relay diagram overpage EXCEPT that it also has a connection 'TK'

Any ideas if I can use this relay? What does the TK mean and where can it be wired to.

If no one knows then I'll have to bite the bullet and get a new one from VW :?

This would do to connect up your cab switch to switch the glow plugs at the rear safely
Need those large push-ons to fit the 2 large spade terminals swaged on... one to +ve batt and other to the busbar.

I've bitten the bullet and paid £18 for the relay from GSF - VW wanted £55!!!!!

I shall fit it tomorrow. I also noticed that when I was charging my battery I had the charger set for motorbike batteries by mistake

got most of the wiring and connections sorted for the relay. Just the one to go on the starter solenoid and the one to the LED on the dash. I've got a petrol dash so no glow plug light, SO can I wire an LED to the relay. I'm guessing one wire connects to the LED form the relay, where should the other wire on the LED go?

Thanks for giving me some advice and time on the phone earlier Steve.

Got it all wired up but had to go out and its dark so can't check using the voltmeter at the mo' the van did start and drives OKish and started again later on so looking good so far.

As for the LED, I got a 12v one from Halfrauds since I was near one but it doesn't seem to want to light up.

started OK this morning, but after I dropped Kim off at my mums (her school was closed today) it wouldn't start - kept turning over but not even a splutter. I managed to stick it in gear and get it to kangaroo till it began to roll down the hill I was parked on and bumped started it easily

After work it took a few attempts to start - sounds really crap at the moment, really loud and doesn't accelerate very well.

Anyone know of 2000 plated LT or Sprinter MWB for sale??

Is yours still an NA Louey or a TD now?

Air in fuel . getting in through the attachment of the fuel return line to top of filter (that clip thing)?

Yes, perhaps drain fuel filter see if water is in it or just change it..

Run it low lately?
