Two boys eh?! We can take it in turns racing them to the bouncy castle! Do they like face painting . . . I'll bring some emulsion and a roller! We usually have a frisbee and other bits and pieces like that in the van somewhere, I'm sure there'll be plenty for them.

DDD, I had a similar issue when I had my Kameo, tried most of the ideas proposed on this thread, was only cured when carb was taken off and soaked in an acid bath overnight, all the crap from the carb was cleared by the acid, ran like a dream until some thieving pikey bar stool stole it,

The kids will love Biggar, even my miserable 13 year old smiled once when he was there last year,

as for that rotor arm, if it REALLY is glued on, you need to know why......

take the lid off the carb and give it a good dose of Looking at, if its water your gonna have to drain that tank and seperate it......

Just got my van back and it was indeed the fuel pipes and breathers. It had been sucking in air. I was told that the cost will be added onto my next bill.

Thanks to all those that gave advice.

Looks like Volsfling is on, van wise at least

Better get cleaning and packing.

I may even find some time to do a second roller coat.

Its back.

I put in more petrol last night. Everything was fine for a few miles then the kangaroo malarky started again.

Then after a couple of miles it was fine, even after 15 miles it was still ok. Cool I thought. Driving home from work it was back. I phoned my mate who said he 'fixed' it and he told me to run the van with the filler cap off. I've done that. I also checked the breather tubes on either side of the tank and they are shot. He said he looked at them and thought they were fine.

Can I replace them with airhose tubes from an air compressor? Do the tubes have to be braided like the ones on the van?

Is this the root of my problem?

Hi Pete, Not so good mate, You will find air hoses are (reinforced) if u like, for pressure, and as they are only breathers, I dont see why not, Try them, Proces of elimination? Good luck. Rick

replace the lot, less money in the long run and onces its done, its done, fuel line is like £3.50 a meter hardly a hole in the wallet.

think how much fuel is being wasted and the cost of all that....

Just my solution to the same problem.

have you sorted rotor arm yet ? *could* be earthing itself if its crap/dead/fcuked. as engine wams up the tiniest of cracks expand and the charge is getting earthed thr the dizzie body.
