I agree with Tracey - co sleeping the way to go - you will naturally control the temperature and baby is more likely to settle. We still do this with our five year old when it's to cold - she's all elbows and knees but we're all toasty
There is no way I could have gone anywhere at 4 weeks - too anaemic, and an uncomfortable milk bar

Also at that stage to settle her at night she needed hours of walking around - not just a shuffle round the van

But they are all different- so could be worth a try. Certainly got friends who went off in a tent with a 7 week old in July and they managed. Enjoyed wasn't a word they used

Hi all
Sorry for the delay in replying both thought the other had done it. We had a fantastic time we only went for the one night Saturday but he was really good. We have a westy Joker with double glazzing all round so keeps it fairly warm. Solved the sleeping problem by taking his mosses basket spinning the front seats round to face each other and placing the basket securley between them. Warmth wise he slept in a vest, a body suit with a sleeping bag and two blankets plus socks on his hands to keep them warm. Only real problem was the feeding at nite when the bed was up but managed ok. Have now got the front bunk for the van so next time will be even easier. He tends to fall asleep anywhere anytime if he wants to so that was no problem he slept the whole way round the show in his buggy.
Thanks for all the advice and help much appreciated. Next show we going to is Bus stop over just up the road in Wymeswold. Then hopefully a week in cornwall sometime end of June if we can get a site. Thanks again. Gill and Paul and baby Zack

Hi
We went camping in April for a week with our 4 month old and he was fine. We did have electrical hookup though and a fan heater.
He was in one of those grow bags in-between us in our sleeping bags.
