I wonder if I should fit it then...

I ran the golf without it for a while , can't remember if it was on the original 1.1 engine with Solex or after i fitted a MK2 1.3 with the 2E3 , can't remember the time line .. eventualy got a Polo GT EFI .

If your worried about over fueling , fit it
If your not worried about over fueling , ditch it.
 

I thought the return line on the syncro carbs with the plastic vapour pot had the return line on that rather than the carb body.
