sorry to go back on this thread, just ordered an Agm leisure battery. (this one

will that still charge fine using a Durite split charge relay thats in my van? the starter battery is a normal Halfords HCB075 Calcium 12v car battery.
I am a little concerned now as i'm seeing conflicting things about linking up different types of batteries.

I don't think there is a problem linking lead acid batteries. Which both of yours are.

AGM is lead acid , Absorbent Glass Mat , it’ll be fine, although it may not charge as fully as a traditional wet plate battery , but no lead acid battery fully charges on an alternator anyway .

AGMs are mostly used for vehicles with stop start capability.
