just prooves the caravan club think they make the laws, utter crap, and anyway it is totally different with a caravan........ they should be illegal!
Whilst it isnt advisable to drive with it on, i have, once or twice, many do, but its silly wasting the gas, when the electic is free when you are driving.... however , some on here need to sort their wiring out, fridges should NOT be connected to the leisure batter, they should be wired AS a leisure battery, and only powered when the engine is running.....
Oh and Ian, my 3 whay fridge is thermo controlled on gas and 240, but 12v is max, and also freezes the milk when on 12v for too long, which is why the control switch is on the dash - where it should be!
Its more important to switch it off when filling up with petrol ( do people still use that?) than anything, i was there when Jen's ignited, it was NOT good, however it was a freak accident really, nothing to do with the fridge vent , purely happened because the drivers door was open, and if your fridge was running on 12v when you were filling up with the drivers door open, the same could well have happened when you re started the engine - its more important to shut the bliddy door!

Its not just the CC, that just happens to be were I found the info. Drive into any petrol station, motor way services and tunnel and it will say prohibited naked flame type warning thingy
