I have an Aldi torque wrench, it's incredibly good, like most of their tools are, honestly!

Yes, they're excellent value. I have a couple, which I've checked against my Clarke Pro digital, and the calibration is spot on (assuming the Clarke is correct!). The problem is VW say you're not supposed to use a clicky one on the head nuts.

Sent the adapter back and bought this instead, as recommended by ajsimmo. Really nice and simple to use with five memory presets, warning beeps and flashing lights, and a torque range of 11-135nm. A great bit of kit.
About the same price as a new set of cylinder head nuts. So a win win outcome.

ImageImage my favourite tool. I love how you can feel the nut creeping abit more when held at the set torque, just as slow beep becomes fast beep. You'll never go back to a clicker. Image
