Hmmm. That's your DJ engine?

I assume the new shiny bit is the cruise control too?

Nice one Stu!!

I just looked at some of Itchy's pictures, and he has it too, so it must be correct.

What's missing on yours for cruise control?
There is a 2.1 breaking van on ebay now that had cruise control....

It's not really the heater spigot lm commenting on. It's the pipe spigot connector next to it.
On a DJ snorkel it comes out horizontally, the same as the heater spigot (and not through an upright elbow). The heater spigot has a pipe to the oil breather tower. The other has a pipe going to the buzz box idle aoeed control valve.

Yeh, mine is a right angle. It does come out though, so suspect there is a separate joining section to replace that

Got all the parts. Lack of commitment to finish it....and lacking moral courage to start digging into the wiring and position of brake vacuum valve/ecu position/speed regulator thingy on back of speed, tis all

OK...

I seem to be a few parts away from the full Digijet parts list - all that remains seems to be:

1. Throttle cable
2. Fuel pump.
3. Coolant hoses.

The question I have relates to coolant hoses specifically. I'm scratching my head here, and can only assume I'm missing something very obvious to everyone else.

On my DG, from my header tank to water pump, there is a T piece that goes to the carb.
This would be deleted - the DJ has the same hose with no T piece.

This is where I lose the plot....
From the thermostat housing one hose goes to inlet manifold, and the outlet on the other end of the inlet manifold goes to the carb...

So, if I delete the T piece, where on earth does the other 'spare' port from the thermostat housing go?
I found this diagram, but it does't really represent what i would be left with. The diagram implies a connection from thermostat housing to distribution tower ( The purple hose in the diagram? )..... All I can fathom here is that there would be a different coolant distribution tower that has an additional port for DJ engines??

Send help  :rofl :rofl

Thermostat housing to bleeder rail 025121058b.

I think you have the answer here....

The implication is that the additional port isn't on the distribution tower as I imagined, but the bleed rail.
I think the bleed rail I have in my DG has 5 ports - the below diagram indicates 6.

Appreciate the feedback Escovedo. :ok

Smiffo, that diagram relates to the automatic cooling system.
Just in case, mate.

Cheers Stu.

Will double check and make sure the rest is the same.

Dangerously close to having all of the bits for this now....

Remaining I definitely know I need is the fuel pump.
An unknown is what is known as a temp 2 sender.

The question is - does this replace the original temp sender in the thermostat housing, or does it go somewhere else?

DJ has two sensors in the thermostat housing.
Normal one for for controlling thermostat etc.
Second one is Temp 2 (in blue) provides signal to control unit for cold start and mixture enrichment during warm up.
Most plastic thermostat housing have a blanking plug you can remove for second sensor.
I had both spare with me at T3, mate.

Ah, I see, I need to crawl under it and have a peek I think.

Cheers matey. :ok
