Looks as if an impact driver is on my Xmas list then, heard they are useful in a multiple amount of areas.  Any recommendation on make/type ??  Although the ones I need access too are the two centre ones whose angle puts them very near the windscreen. :ok

And hammering near glass! :run
I would tape a piece of foam to the inside of the windscreen first.
I use a Dewalt impact driver to remove stubborn screws. Correct choice of bit is important too. Must be a very snug fit. Yet it's unlikely a straight hit in those areas.

Thanks, just been watching a video, one tip the guy made was to put a bit of valve grounding compound on the tip of the head or bit you are using as this gives a better grip in the screw hole.

However the brushes are usually worn after 30+yrs of running so worth changing the motor
