Thanks fella. Looks like I have a bigger problem now, my crank is banging like a bangy thing.

Oh dear! 2.1's are getting rare. Time for an alternative perhaps? Or rebuild wot ya got?

Tempted to give these a try - a little cheaper than powerflex.

There's some discussion of whiteline bushes on the samba forums in the US, might garner you more opinions. From what I've seen I think they're generally favourable though

Cheers, I’ll do some reading before ordering up.

To be honest if my camper was non PAS l would have fitted standard bushes. But because the PAS steering rack has very limited movement away from chassis l used Powerflex purely for easy insertion.
They look good value though.

Having had a quick read through the samba whiteline seem to get a reasonably good write up.
Generally speaking both are better than OEM and certainly better than a 30yr old original.
Some people prefer one over the other for certain applications and generally feel powerlex has just got the upper edge.
I'm just looking to improve stability a little for those windy motorway trips. Hightop doesn't help, but the addition of new springs and B4's helped a bit, front spoiler now added, so for the relatively low price I'm going to give the whitelines a try.

Did adding the front spoiler make any difference?

Sadly due to lockdown and work I’ve not been able to confirm. Saying that I’ve read posts from various sources that say they do help........ a little!
Normally I’d change one thing at time and test but at the moment it’s up on stands with tank dropped. Just thought while I’m under there I may as well investigate.

Placed an order........ following day I get an email to say a minimum delay of 60 days.
Think I’ll be going for Powerflex.

That happened to me on eBay recently. I ordered a cheapish item with delivery stating 3-5 days. Paid me money and..........then an email letting me know delivery in 16 days.

Couldnt be
a r s ed to cancel.

Plot thickens.....
After they were unable to supply for 60+ days I opted to cancel the order.
Responded to their email I received at 4.50pm yesterday and was waiting for reply.
I had found the Powerflex equivalent for £36 and added to my basket..... something made me wait for confirmation of cancelled order before going ahead.
This morning I have a dispatch email and tracking that shows the Whiteline order out for delivery!
