Had it fitted and it still squeaks. The pump is new, the belt is new so must be the pulley is too smooth. Oh well there was a couple off mm wobble in the pump so probably would have needed changing in the near future

Squeaks on start up or all the time? Mine squeals for about 2 seconds on a cold start but not at any time else. So reckon it is belt rather than pump.

Start up mainly. Pullies aren't much so I'll do them anyway when BW have them in stock again

Ok water pump has arrived and I have a few more questions before I start. I was thinking instead of draining the whole system can I just take off the water pump and catch the coolant in a bucket? I then finish installing the new pump and bleed the system as it states on the wiki. Or do I have to drain all of the coolant first. One more question and that is with the seel and parts that come with the water pump do I have to apply any sort of oil or lubrication to help them stick or is it simply placing them in the relevant spots and fitting. Thanks guys

It depends on how old your coolant is really. When i did mine i just undid the hoses to the pump/thermostat and collected any coolant in a bucket. I then tied up the pipes to stop anymore draining out. When re assembling i used a smear of instant gasket on the necessary parts.
