I bloody well fixed it!
Thank you mr Itchy.
It must have been the 2nd throttle vacuum unit.
Because I changed it for one with a better action.
Took it out, on petrol, warmed it up, then on a gradient gave it the beans and stamped on the throttle in 3rd from 2000 rpm
Accelerated nicely, without bogging or any stuttering, then without any fuss at 2800 the power smoothly surged in.
It was still pulling up hill at 4000 rpm, and I changed to 4th
W O W what a difference!
But.. there's always a but.
For some reason the LPG decided to play up during warm up
Started ok but ran roughly with no power.
Once warmed up it was ok.
