Well, here we go....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dctz_4dKoJo&t=14s" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just to recap then.. this is a Solex Pict 34/4 carb setup..

with SVDA points and condenser ignition...

No Hall effect.. no amp... :shock: :shock: :shock:

stripped of all California spec over run stuff..

I've now done about 600 km with this setup..

Starting at minus 7 celcius.. no problem

Lovely start, touch the throttle once for choke, warms up at a nice engine speed..

I then start off downhill, not much choice really, so lots of engine over run.. in 3 km the road needs the throttle..

and no flat spot.. pulls like a train..

I'm getting 28 mpg on the motorway run.. and my cruising speed is comfortable between 93 and 103 kph.

With 98 RON petrol, max speed is easily 115 kph..

I'll put in a tankful of E85 when the weather is warmer...

So next little project will be to try a 1641 setup..

Before I tackle the 'mysterious parcel' project.. :wink:

Cordialement,

:ok
