justv received my brackets nice and prompt, thanks rowlsey.
im painting them with hammerite, what are they made of? just so's i know how thorough to be with the paint for rust reasons.
Also im wondering about getting the large mirrors while im at it:

They're just mild steel, I personally don't like hammerite. Etch primer or red oxide then top coat.

Happy with these 'big ones' but have a bit of a wobble, not on the bracket. Does anyone know how to tighten up the spring? They are the ones from paddock spares..

mine did that, had to take them apart then I put a wallplug inside to let the (another) screw get hold of it. 60 down the M4... no movement.

Did you take the rubber edging off and remove the glass to do that?

No No, I just took the connector off and the bracket and stuck a wall plug through the hole, then put back together (a bit fiddly) with quite a big Phillips screw. The original allen key one I overtightened (trying to stop it wobbling) and lost it's thread hence the screw in the wallplug.
It's not the prettiest, but no-one sees it except for my conscience.
