I'm fitting them at the weekend along with all new fuel lines and filter, hopefully I'll see an improvement.
Cheers

i've never yet managed to find out where i can buy the little hat filters. in my experience (which is not extensive) about 50 percent of bad fuel delivery from injectors was this screen blocked up with tank sediment.
i see they use the professional equivalent of a jubilee clip on the new hose while leaving the original rusty crimpy bit ...............

There's listings on ebay.com for injector rebuild kits for the bosch ones that have the filters in, Bosch agents should be able to obtain them as well, if you know the part number for them it really helps, Bosch are good but you really need an agent who knows how they work well to get anywhere with them
I checked the new VW injectors I have;as well as the VW part number moulded in 025 906 031 they also have the Bosch part number 0 280 150 206, you would need the Bosch tech docs to cross reference the specs on the different numbers, it may well be that 206 is merely 762 but with the VW part number for T3 on it for oem supply to VW, can anyone confirm that or that they are indeed cross compatible ?

quick Google found this table
http://www.gomog.com/allmorgan/InjectorRatesBosch.html
the part number ending 762 the Volvo one flow rates 20.35 lb/hr, 213.9 cc/min, 153.8 grammes, 43.5 PSi,3bar
the part ending 206 the VW one 16 lb/hr, 168.2 cc/min, 121 grammes, 36.25 PSi , 2.5 bar
so they appear to have similar flow rate when run at 2.5 bar if you multiply the first figures by (2.5/3)
about 5% extra fuel if they deliver at that rate at the lower fuel rail pressure 16.95lb/hr, 178.25cc/min, 128grammes and the table of data is correct

I would say they ate fine for our application. After all we arent using the same fuel as was available in the 1980's, so the advance curves are probably far from optimum, never mind any other changes.
Good enough!

however I can't find any volvo240 injectors with that part number that have hose connectors anywhere and the pictures in the bosch catalogues show them as having moulded plastic push fit bayonet (I think) connectors

The new ones at VanCafé have part # ending ...206 so they are correct. I do wonder if its possible to make new fuel rails which would allow use of more common O-ring injectors, that will allow for the converging 025 installation without fitting being a bunfight...

no.
well he denies quite categorically that his name is jean louis and says the cogs are sold and on their way to austria.
