CovKid wrote:The pump itself can seep water as it runs past pensionable age. Can you feel any play in waterpump pulley? Had the odd screeching noise when first starting up? If no to both, probably o-ring seal where pipe goes into pump. Keep at it - you'll find it.

No to the play in the pully. No to squeeling :)

It is a company that does not sell crap.
Simon Baxter is a T25 enthusiast he was sick and tired of the rubbish we get hoodwinked into buying, so he built up Brickwerks on the back of QUALITY.

To me Brickwerks is a preferred company. I go there first, then VW emporium then heritage

Ha im sure there is but im a student so its a case of do it once and then fingers crossed.

I did have a good inspection of the pipe before putting it back on the engine and couldnt see anything obvious. Obviously rusting from the inside out.

I will get it welded one more time then if it goes again it will be a replacement of the two pipes :) Shineeyyy

But yes ... definitly a lesson here

Welcome to the enthusiasts world of obsoletion.
I would get used to it, rather than complain.. we are all in the same boat.

Don't be seduced by e-bay or cheap parts..it'll end in tears
Fit OE or fit the best
