Doesnt look like a nut to me, if it was you would see a bit of stud sticking out, it also doesnt look rounded off, ring spanner should do it, biggest problem will be it shearing off hence use plusgas first to free the threads

Cherry red with a gas axe does it for me.

Rothenberger might get it hot enough with patience...
But I've known even cherry red fail. . Doka dropside hinges spring to mind ;)

Agree 1/2 hour with a ss wirebrush might be well worth it first.
