Well that was fun. Fitted new radiator, fairly straightforward bar wrestling with corroded bolts. At final stage of bleeding the system when the rad bleed brass screw sheared under very little pressure. Had to take the lot out again for exchange. Had a tinker with the sheared end (thanks to a previous post by Adrian C) and got it out. The M8 screw from my old rad seems to fit perfectly.
A few of the fins were bent on the new rad when I received it (don't think it will make any real real difference?) So should I:

a. Wait and exchange the rad.
b. Refit with the old screw and enjoy the weekend

Leave the old screw and move on, slightly bent fins wont hurt
well done though, great feeling to do it yourself :ok

Took your advice and got on with it. All done and seems to have done the trick as the gauge doesn't go over half way even in heavy stop start traffic. I haven't put the spare wheel or the carrier back on yet as I'm half thinking of leaving them off permanently and definitely losing that bottom card, the only rust in that area was straight in front of the card as my thoughts are that on a run there is enough air flowing over the radiator anyway and when the van is static the cards don't make any difference.
