yeah I did the strip. it ended up a little higher than the original arch but it did the job. I think you are right about the spots I will do.more so there is a good base for the filler work.

yours is done but for the benefit of others ,its easiest if you fit the winhg in place exactly as you want it then mark with a felt tip under the arch and from inside the top of it , then when you add the strip you have the lcation correct and always fit the strip so its above the inner sill and of course tsack it to the wing on the top edge so so the welds dont restrict the fit
