now we are getting involved in dismantling and finding out whats been done,why and how well.
we pointed out earlier that it has hadd a knock to the front, well nsf corner i have removed the bumper and ancillary bits and you can see in this picky the thickness and the join
to help place the following picks i will point out that this van has had a thump on the ns front and the front deformation panal has been opened up and replaced from midway to the ns, unfortunately not very well as its visible behind the bumper and an eyesore,
this is the join underneath,a patch and loads of clag
there are a series of long mig welds along the join
been nice to have drilled it and spotted to replicate the oe, again we have to bear in mind it was an accident repair and done no doubt to a price to maybe sell on , and as such its not dangerous or harmful in any way it just "not right" is all
again ,not the nicest join
and it didnt "quite" meet here
after market welding here
now ive already put picks of the floor up so this is the A post, there is a cut in the back thats not easy to picture and hasnt been welded, probably part of the cutting out side of the repair
this is the rewelding of the parts of the A post that were unpicked to straighten and repair
now onto stripping the door, i beleive this is an alternative door as the one it came with must have been trashed given the area and scope of the damage seen.
i note they didnt bother fitting the upper 1/4 light retaining screw
but the 1/4 light frame seems in good order
now im unplugging the wiring and on withdrawing bthe conduit tube im soaked with water
enough to soak the step
will have to investigate the oriigins of this
this sort of fell off
may have to repair same as the xrissvagon ones
been fixed time or two .prob from original door to this one
