In what way?

time for a subaru engine..

If the problem isn't engine internal, that won't do anything to fix it.

As it starts to warm up?

TempII sensor, or wiring from there to ECU. Think of it as the choke still being full out.

as it starts to warm up
temp sensor was changed but its off a golf, the garage said it should work fine
how do you check if ecu is ok

I s'pose "Why?" would be a daft question...?

the garage said it should work fine

They've compared the temperature/resistance curves for the two? Seems a lot of bother, given the right sensor costs a fiver.

I very much doubt it's the ECU... Check the resistances of the sensor hot, cold, warm both at the sensor and at the ECU multiplug. They should be the same.

Just to be sure, have "we" established whether this motor is still on injection ? (as some have had DG carb & manifold retro fitted to them). Just to be sure ;)

Ladybird's previous posts include questions about fuel pressure regulators and airflow meters, together with a pic that shows an ECU next to the header tank, so it seems a fair guess.

Hi,

I'm no injection expert, but I thought that the temp2 sensor and temp gauge sensor are different items?

Previuos posts suggest its a gauge of a golf, not the sensor. If it was a gold sensor does that interact with the ECU or just the gauge?

Either way I'd put everything back to T25 parts and replace the temp 2 sensor and see what heppens then.

Cheers,

Alex

Yep, they are.
