..and all I could add to that is to keep the salt and water out of all those main connections, thoroughly smear the whole connection with Holts NoCrode or bulb grease or vaseline.

An 80 to 120 Watt soldering iron is a useful thing in my opinion. As are those small lighter fuelled torches from places like Maplin.

..oh and definitely both gearbox and engine earths - well made.

Bloody leisure battery isn't charging now!

I'll have to investigate, I can only think I have left a wire off, just at solfest with no tools so will have a look when I get back.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Ignore, it was the fuse on the split charger :roll:
