The back of my Hi-top has the existing production roof beam running across the top of the rear hatch. If I was to put a reinforcing strip inside the box section and bolt the Renault type roof mounted belt there, my problems would be solved! This is assuming I can arrange suitable buckles to accept the belts which I am sure I can. The belt is almost 10 feet long fully extended so is plenty long enough.
Has this been considered before?
this is exactly what I did, check link in post above!!
Although I didn't use scenic belts as one tongue is specific for the receiver, so not universal with other receivers. not a problem if you get the receiver also but when I looked at this I thing I had mounting issues.
the best vehicle is VW touran or a ford galaxy. the galaxy actually used a VW part so they are the same!!
I picked mine up from a local dismantlers who have the history of all vehicles, so I choose two vehicles that were engine damaged/water etc so I knew the belt had not been involved in a collision.

Good idea, the last thing you want in a collision is a pillow flying about.

Anyone know where I can buy a belt to do the same install as seat belt services that people have posted pics of on here?
(Got a factory 3 point for right hand seat, just need to add second 3 point for other seat)
Can't see that the brickwerks kit has the double clips so it can be retracted out the way for sleeping.
Also shortened receiver for existing?

If you wanted to do a diy job you could buy one of these and harvest the adjustable tongue from it. Then buy a normal 3 point belt say 3.5 metres long and cut the end mount off it and thread on the adjustable tongue instead. Then just buy an extra stalk. I'm not recommending it but it's just an idea in my head.

I emailed a company 2 days ago asking for a quote for what I needed. If they get back to me soon, il share their details. Basically, extra long belt with 2 tongs and 2 webbed receivers.

I used safety belt services. Got a double tong seatbelt that was 5 metres long (to be on the safe side) 2 receivers for just over £100 delivered. Arrived today.
