Well, just paid for the springs. Here for early Jan by the looks of it

Interested in new products also, my front shocks need replacing...

[pedant] It's tenter hooks, not tender hooks. Tenter hooks were fitted to a tenter, usually a wooden A frame device where cloth was put to dry, stretched between the hooks attached to the frame.[\pedant]

Trying to get our heads around Maas groups price file and the translated descriptions is taking a little longer than anticipated then looking around on the web to make sure we are competitive.
It seems either we have something wrong, or others have something wrong!

I think from what Michael said is that there is a new front damper since our last order, a 50090 which is HD rather than comfort.. I think!

Hi Lloyd - sorry for delay in getting back... been snowed under this week despite no snow in Cornwall yet

In our van when it just has the Westy interior but nothing else in it the ride heights are now

Front: 525mm wheel centre to arch
Rear:` 540mm wheel centre to arch

I know this is pretty high but I am surprised how little its affected the handling - in fact with this set up its way better than the original tired old springs and shocks that were on it.

It is a 14" by the way but running 15" rims with the usual BFGs - but I guess you knew that. I don't know if there is going to be a price to pay in CVs because of the extra articulation - just had a front outer collapse on me but that could have been old age as it came with the van. We have 944 CVs on the rear and they seem fine so far - touch wood!!

Blimey, that is high! Wonder why the 20mm difference front to back though?
I think a 16" cvj might cope better seeing as they are a fair bit bigger.

108mm cv joints have less articulation than 98mm ones Lloyd, that's why 16" damper mount on the trailing arm is raised, 16" bus doesn't have better articulation just bigger heavier wheels (Nato size) and everything else modified to cope with that
14" van with 15" tyres and slight lift will keep wheels in contact and get over the same ground as a standard 16"

Using porsche "HD" driveshafts and joint in the back

Original 14" HD Boge shocks in the back with http://www.oberschlachter.fi extenders.
TM HD in front also with oberschlachter extenders :p
And Upper wishbone extenders from oberschlachter.



and i'm very happy with them! no more bottoming out. good rebound little stiff when fully loaded but overall so much better than original/ suplex I used!

since we are on the topic of shocks let me ask you guys something about trailmaster shocks. It seems to be 2 types, one for the heavy vans (campers) and one for the lighter ones (like panel vans?). this distinction appears to many sites like busman, van-cafe etc. Now on Bernd Jager's site we only distinguish them on comfort and heavy duty (talking about the ones that provide a 3-4cm lift since he also has the simple ones). So is this comfort vs heavy duty on Jager's site the save as light vs heavy vans on the other sites? does anyone know about that?

The main thing seems to be that HD are for the heavier van.
