Select "Club Organized" and "Syncronauts", when booking a ticket. The option is there, so that indicates, there's an area.

Clive, try not to put the Devon meet, before the first weekend of August. I'll be just coming back from the 2CV meeting in Spain. Second weekend would be awesome.

Hello folks! Haven’t been around for a while so thought I’d copy & paste the latest Press Release that lists even more going on at AO`13 ... I've created a monster!!! See you syncronauts in September!

Cheers,

Tom Mc

PRESS RELEASE 01-08-13

The biggest show of its type with the largest gathering of traders at any travel show in the UK, ADVENTURE OVERLAND 2013 … the 4x4, Bike & Trekking Travel Show weekend of 28-29 September 2013, promises to be something special this year … no mean feat considering this will only be its second year!

Having found a new home at Stratford Racecourse, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire for the next 5 years – it outgrew last year’s Northants venue before the inaugural event had even finished – ADVENTURE OVERLAND spans the entire ‘alternative travel scene’ from adventure cycle bike-packing to fatbikes, off-road adventure motorcycle tours here in the UK to Himalayan adventures, 4x4 campervans right through to massive expedition trucks, plus adventure sports treks, expeditions and explorations in far-flung foreign lands.

In keeping with the uniqueness of the show, a host of free attractions will be available to keep visitors entertained –

BUSHCRAFT ACTIVITIES AREA sponsored by ‘Woodland Ways’
(everything from fire-lighting to preparing road kill for the pot)

BUSH MECHANICS sponsored by ‘Bushmechanics.co.uk’
(learn the skills to keep your vehicle going when on the road, or more importantly - off it!)

ADVENTURE BIKE & CYCLE ZONE sponsored by the ‘Adventure Bike Shop’
(last year motorcycle traders requested they have a specialised area to call their own, well here it is)

CAMPER CONVERSION CORNER sponsored by ‘Auto Marine Improvement’(converting/building a campervan yourself? Then seek the advice of professionals and DIY enthusiasts)

EXPEDITION FIRST AID DEMOS sponsored by ‘Training Expertise Ltd.’
(knowing what to do when confronted by injuries in extreme situations can quite literally be a ‘life-saver’)

NAVIGATION KNOWHOW sponsored by ‘GPS Training’
(advice on mapping – electronic or otherwise)

OVERLAND PREP sponsored by ‘Nene Overland’
(hear from the experts about vehicle preparation for trips and expeditions)

SEMINAR SESSIONS ROOM
(featuring guest speakers passing on their adventure travel experiences with bikes and 4x4 vehicles)

VEHICLE DISPLAY AREA
(comprising expedition trucks & all-wheel-drive campers)

Definitely no duck-herding at this show!!!

Log on to http://www.adventureoverlandshow.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or phone 02476 731971 for details.

Newly introduced is the reduced fee "2-Wheeler Weekend Pass" covering both day admission and camping, designed soley for bicycle and motorbike riders who arrive at the Stratford Racecourse venue on their steeds - bicycles, tandems, motorbikes, even trikes (okay, 3-wheelers as well). Now the entire weekend is just £25 (and that includes a pillion passenger) for the entire weekend – that’s half the price of the standard booking fee!

END

And before anyone has a go about the bikers getting for half price, remember that bikes and biker's tents take up less than half the space in the campsite that us 4x4 mob do. Don't know if that's true of the bikers themselves though ... :)

Have the Syncronauts booked a Club display at Adventure Overland, or a Club camping area ?

I'm thinking of going and was wanting to know the setup. There's a mahoosive camping booking form to fill out.

Roll call:

Andy McC (not booked yet but planning to)
