What oil are you on?

I would get this cooler on ASAP personally.
Mocal sandwich plate, with a thermostatic control, oil cooler matrix mounted where ever theres a wind or a fan
leave everything else as it is.
I will say though that fitting this to an engine with oil pressure issues is not right.
get the engine to run at high speed no buzzer.. just with VW help
stable spec oil temps are to protect engines and give them a longer life, not to solve a buzzer problem

Low oil pressure at high rpm.?
Is a tough one.
Firstly I would get a wet gauge on to see if the buzzer is an electrical issue, and not actually a pressure issue

A chum (who really knows what he's doing, not what he once saw on someone else's video) fitted a digital oil pressure guage to his 1.9 DG which had intermittent B.O.D. issues ... he said it was up and down like a bride's nightie and he ended up covering it up as it frittened him witless when driving.

Right...oil and filter done! ..my new gauges arrived today(peachy too) and came with a twin terminaled sender. There are 3 VDO gauges a a std vw golf pod, I'll press,oil temp and volts. On my DJ 2.1 where would this sender go..or is it of no use to me as its quite large???? Can anybody shed a bit of light on wiring it too, also how best to trace the cable .....

You need the sender to match the gauge, for both pressure and temperature, so you do need to use the right ones. You'll need to remove one of the existing oil pressure senders (the low-rev one, under the LH side of the engine, between the front and rear cylinders, behind the tin cover, is easiest). I used an extension and t-piece (from Demon Tweeks - this is probably it, if not it's very similar - I think it was M10 thread, but somebody will confirm) to mount that old idiot-light switch and the pressure sender on the tinware next to the header tank.

Then just run some wires from engine bay to dash (easiest to remove the front grille and take 'em through the speedo cable hole), and wire everything up. Basically, you'll need five wires into the pod - a signal cable for each oil gauge, an ignition live, an earth, and you'll probably want a lights-on live for the illlumination. Make sure everything's nice and neatly wired...

It's also worth adding that, if you get terrifying results from the pressure gauge, check it's working right - mine (TIM brand) isn't, and I'm only getting any reading at all when it's stone cold, before the oil warms up and thins. After that, it won't move off the scale. However, a bit of testing showed I'm only getting "60psi" when the signal wire's shorted, instead of all the way off the 100psi scale, when the signal wire's shorted to earth, so I've got to get the gauge changed out when we get back. TIM have been very helpful, but there's not a lot they can actually do over the internet.

you will need some hose i used s/s break line to relocate the oil pressure sender. have a chat with pete and ali as i sold them some that i had left over

That's very tidy.... The demon tweets link shows a very similar looking but nothing like as long as your one looks in your picture. Am I right in assuming that yours is around 12" ish???

Found a nice looking triple pod to house my new gauges ...... But just received an eBay message telling me that they had just been shipped......... From America ....a***!!!!!!
