Agree....the 25mm adaptors are expensive but they are the best option when coupled with the correct offset alloys.
15mm spacers with the ML alloys will be fine...even when lowered 30mm or 50mm.....but that only applies when using quality lowering springs that aren't red and with suitable tyres.

Titus... another quick question!
what stud length did you go for ?
Martin
I went for an over long one and cut it down to size after fitting the wheel and seeing how much "spare" there was.
can you remember the depth of the wheel bolt hole in the ML wheels ? I would take them off and measure but its been raining here for a week and I am in danger of drowning !
Martin
I cannot remember the depth of the wheel bolt hole but here is a photo showing a standard wheel bolt in the merc rim.

Hey mate.
First of all just wanna say nice boots I love black wheels on these vans, but just a heads up. After loadsa ET offsett and suitable tyre searching I have now finally fitted some Porsche Teledials 6J, ET 52.3 with 205/75/15 tyres finished in Matt Black. My van has been lowered 50mm and the adaptors (being 20mm) bring my offset to 32.3mm. The wheels do not stick out at all but do fill the arch (it may be the 205/75 combination). I was a bit concerned about ripping the arches out but so far driving on Norfolks roads has been no problem. My advice would be to stick to the recommended offset if your going to lower by 50mm.
Good luck
Phil
